Strategic Planning

During the early '90's there was a huge focus on "strategic planning". Consultants emerged from the woodwork to take organisations of all sizes on this mystic journey. Visions and Missions became the "talk of the day".

Much of this when done produced a document that was so cumbersome it "gathered cobwebs in the top drawer" or there was no follow up to a "feel good" day. It many cases it became nothing more than a "fad".
